• Why did my car hydroplane?

Best answer: Sometimes oil gets on the road and water on top of it will cause you to lose traction. You have no way of knowing if such a condition exists when approaching it.

Wouldn't it be other's fault since they made no attempt to move their vehicle to the shoulder? I did manage to swerve at the last second and avoid the wreck by 5 feet.

It's only been 2 weeks so he never got the vehicle registered under his name. So on paper, I would essentially be purchasing from Owner 1. There's a bill of sale, original title and forms for ownership transfer. I would just need to fill my name in on the blanks. Will I have any issues getting it registered in my name? I never dealt with an out of state title exchange nor have I had any experience with a Middle Man.

  • Whats the best way to ask someone to sell a car they dont use?

Best answer: Being the owner of a couple of old Mustangs and a long time restoration entusiast i'll say that sending a letter is NOT the way to go. I usually assign those to the trash. Knock on their door, introduce yourself and tell them you're interested in the car and ask if they would mind letting you look it over.... show more

Knock on their door, introduce yourself and tell them you're interested in the car and ask if they would mind letting you look it over. Most people are proud of their old cars, regardless of their condition, and willing to show them off. After looking it over politely ask what their intentions are and LISTEN to what they say. Then you can ask if they would consider selling it. If their answer is yes then ask what they want for the car. Best of luck and remember restoration is usually expensive and a long term project.

I am 26, about to be 27, and am learning how to drive for the first time. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I was born in raised in New York City (Borough Park, Brooklyn) and the outskirts, where owning a car is a hindrance. However, last summer I moved out to middle of nowhere Ohio, where there's no public transportation at all. So I'm trying to learn to drive, but honestly it's difficult. I have NEVER driven a car in my life, not even just in a parking lot. I have absolutely NO knowledge of what is what. The other day, my cousin asked me to go out and start his car, but I wouldn't cause I didn't want to screw anything up. I'm embarrassed. I'm nearly 30, and can't drive, where as all these 16 and 17 year olds are driving like pros. And lastly, I just don't have the time to learn to drive, I'm super busy these days, and I don't have anyone to teach me, I don't want my parents teaching me, but I'm too embarwssed to have a friend teach me. To anyone who has gotten their license at a later age or similar to my situation, did you seem to think it was more difficult getting one, and also what different steps did you take?? Thanks!

He was already late, then we had to get gas. Then he started driving erratic, kept changing lanes. I told him I'd like to safely get home. He replied "I got this, I got this"... He knows where I live & where my mom lives, but I'm afraid to leave a negative review
