Chromebooks are cheap laptops with a small amount of flash memory instead of a hard drive. They store most of the information on the cloud - this is internet based, so unless you have regular access to a WiFi spot you can connect to you would be better getting a macbook or a windows laptop. Chromebooks can’t run the same programs as a windows machine, e.g Microsoft office, nor can it run any games written for windows. They are fine for basic web surfing social media, emails etc.

Best answer: It is not designed for it, or recommended, but a slow trickle charge is possible if you have a very long time. Let's say it accepts a 1 amp 5 volt. That is 5 watts of power input. The proper Magsafe charger is 45 watts. Although part of the cycle of a standard charge is low wattage as the battery is over about 90% charged, the initial charge from low battery is normally at a much higher amperage which is why it is 45 watts maximum.
One hour from the charger is an all-night charge from USB and it's normally designed to output; not input.
If you try it for a half hour, check if charge increased a few percent and then you know its working.
USB output can be as low as 1/2 amp and as high as 2 amp depending upon the usb.
That's up to 2 amp at 5 volts or 10 watts. SLOW just doesn't describe it well enough.

  • I lost my school tablet/laptop and I'm freaking out!!?

Best answer: Face the music and tell them right away. They probably have it setup where they can see it's last known GPS location. If your account was on it you may be able to do the same thing. I f that is the case and it is Android you can Search for "Find My Device - Google" to see it's last location.

  • My computer wont let me factory reset?

I was planning to sell my computer but it would not let me reset it. When I try to reset the computer it says "An additional 5.74 GB of free disk space is needed." Then when I use Disk Cleanup, and uninstall apps, it just makes everything worse. (My computer is a HP Stream Notebook if that helps any)

Once a laptop battery stops holding a charge, it is DEAD. It is a chemical process that can no longer be reversed.
The only solution is new battery.
If you search on-line, you can find replacement laptop batteries at quite reasonable prices. They are still not cheap but that is because of the expensive lithium ion technology they use.
A new battery is much cheaper than plastic surgery to repair the damage caused by an exploding lithium cell.

  • Windows 10 won't charge?

I haven't used my Windows 10 laptop in a month, and when I opened it, it wouldn't charge! It once did a week ago, but it won't anymore. The only way I could use it when it's plugged in, and it doesn't even charge.
