  • Does my landlord need to buy me a new air conditioner?

I've asked the landlord about doing something about it several times, and so far I've been ignored. I rent month to month, and it was advertised for the house I'm renting. What can I do? I asked the landlord today if he's going to do something & he said no. His reason is because he claims I've made several small alterations inside the house without asking him first, so he doesn't feel like doing anything extra for me. How is this doing anything extra? Can he do this to me in retaliation? I live in San Pedro, CA, and he claims it doesn't get that hot here anyway. Yes it does some days & I live close to the ocean.

  • Is it good that now I'm hiring only guys in my cafe to prevent false accusations of sexual harrassment that seem to be all the rage today?

Best answer: At least one flirty cute Latina hottie at the front could help with business, but the guys work harder.

  • What sells best? Is personal retail profitable?

I’m looking to start up my own business selling either my own product or re-selling items. I have no idea how to start. Has anyone tried this themselves? Is this business potentially profitable and what shall I sell? I’m looking to do it all online.

  • The law here in England says that I have to pay my student loans back if I earn more than £21,000.?

I earn less than £21,000 a year, but I have £420,000 in my bank account. Because I have £420,000 in my bank account, will I have to pay my student loan back, despite the fact I earn less than £21,000? Or do I not have to pay my student loan back in my current situation?

I bring in maybe $2000 per month and a few times brought in about 4000. I don’t spend her money on it. I started using the money I got for birthdays and now I use the money I make and use about $100 per month to thrift stuff. I don’t spend my money on stupid stuff and maybe spend $50 on myself and I’m saving the rest for my future. I give my mom money too since we are having money problems. She absolutely always gives me crap for my business. She tells me it’s not a stable job (duh, I’m 14, I can’t get a job but it’s always good to bring in money) she tells me it’s stupid and blah blah that it’s takes up room in her house. All of it’s in my room neatly tucked away. I do chores, I get straight a’s but it’s annoying when she lectures me on it. Advice? I know I’ll get comments saying “ur 14 how u get money” I have a bank account.

  • Is this considered lying on a resume?

Best answer: Yes, it's lying (although I suppose she did "complete" the courses, just not successfully), but companies generally wouldn't care about which specific courses someone took. Did she claim to have some sort of degree?

I have been living in my apartment for almost 10 years, when I first moved here I planted an orange tree in my little backyard. Now I am about to move out I am wondering if I should leave the tree in the backyard or should I cut down the tree before I move out?

Summer was great, windows were open, utilities bills were manageable but come winter she keeps turning up the heat to 70 along with turning on the gas fireplace downstairs (no one sits down there) and the electric fireplace upstairs. When she is sitting upstairs she is in a t-shirt and shorts and claims she is freezing. She will only turn on everything when I am away because when I am home I like to keep my gas fireplace off downstairs (since no one sits down there) and the heat at 68. When it is turned up to 70 my whole house is extremely warm. Mind you I am wearing a sweater or something warmer than shorts and a tshirt. How do I approach her with this? I have a feeling she is going to argue that her portion of the rent can be used to pay the bills, but that portion is paying for my other half of the mortgage.

I can't afford the rent and I signed the lease. I was supposed to get a raise but I haven't gotten it on time so I can't afford it and the apartments far too expensive. If I break my lease how do I go about doing it.

  • Why do Republicans talk about how much workers are worth like they're slaves?
