• Can I get a debt that was paid off my credit report before the date it says it will be removed?

Best answer: Generally, no. Disputing a paid bill usually won't work. Under certain circumstances, you can get an unpaid bill removed. However, once it is paid, it is usually too late to do anything to get it removed.

I had some old accounts that were past due about 4yrs ago. I hit a hardship in my life that I was not able to keep payment on the accounts. From there most of the accounts either went to a collections agency or an attorney. Last year I reviewed my credit report and it showed the original lender with the original account opened date which was about 4yrs ago. I just recently reviewed my credit report again but now the open dates on the accounts have changed along with the names of the orginal lender. It looks like they were transfered over to the collections agencies. The collection agencies went ahead and changed the account open date to a recent date in which now makes the bad mark on my credit report take longer to fall off. Originally 4yrs has passed and I thought I would have 3yrs to go for everything to fall off my report and start a new. But now it looks like the bad past due account marks will remain another 7 yrs. Can they do that? Please if anyone can help with answers. Thanks

My credit is significantly better and I need to go. I can't handle this anymore. Help!

Will telling the inspector about the two deaths lower the value at all? We're trying to get it as low as possible.

Hi, so I'm getting married soon (engaged anyway!) and I love my boyfriend very much. We have an arrangement now that we want to work, but I don't know if it's possible. Right now I make about $32,000 per year, not a lot I know, but I live comfortably (I'm not a big spender!) and my boyfriend does freelance but he works very infrequently, probably making about $10,000 a year. Like I said, he does photography but he doesnt really like it so its very, very infrequent. We want to try out an arrangement where he stays home (I know, I know, but he actually loves doing household stuff like cooking, cleaning, etc..) and I go to work. It was actually his idea, but the more I think of it the nicer it sounds. Only problem is...I'm honestly not that sure how expensive actual living out by yourself is. (I'm 23 and live with my mom at the moment, haha. Only bills I pay are cellphone, my own groceries and student loans) I guess what Im asking is...can two people live comfortably off of about $32,000 per year? We dont really vacation much (I'd like maybe two weekends a year, ideally) and we definitely, absolutely are not having kids. We are planning to get one small dog, but that's all. We don't go out to eat much. I don't live an extravagant life, nor do I want to. I do like to go out to dinner twice a week, and to the movies once a week. Besides that not too much out of the way! Can we live semi-comfortably off of $32,000? Or will we be struggling?
