  • Should I buy an iPhone 8 through Apple or Virgin? Also, how to transfer pictures?

I currently have an iPhone 5c and I am going to buy the 8. My current carrier is Virgin and I will be staying with them when I get the 8. Should I preorder it through apple and then activate the phone or preorder it (when its available for preorder) through virgin? What are pros and cons on doing it either way?... show more

Should I preorder it through apple and then activate the phone or preorder it (when its available for preorder) through virgin? What are pros and cons on doing it either way? Also, is there an external way to transfer photos from the 5c to the 8? I will be creating a new Apple ID when I get the 8 so things like my contacts won't transfer when I sign into my ID on the 8 because I will be creating a new one. I have a Mac, is there a way I can do it using the Mac? Like, if there was a cord that went from one iPhone to the other and transferred that would be great! Thanks for any help!

When you go to college/university, the staff can search your stuff at any time & monitor / control your internet use.

When you get a job, your employer can search your stuff and monitor / control your internet use.

If you travel and go through any international border, Customs can demand your passwords and search all your stuff.

The only time _you_ control things is in your own home, when you are paying for it yourself.

Also some I max movies use a similar effect.

What do you all recommend?

  • Nikon D7200 photos have gone missing on the camera?

My father has lost photos off his camera, either by accidentally deleting them or they have become hiding somewhere on the camera if that is at all possible? The camera memory still says the same as what it was on before but have not managed to find any of the photos? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Hi there, I've got a few trips planned for the next few months and am looking for a good camera to buy instead of using my phone all the time. I'd really like a simple point-and-shoot camera, that's preferably water proof since I like to go snorkelling. I want to use it mostly for photos, but okay film and sound would be excellent too since i could make small videos for my family and friends back home. Also do any have wifi or bluetooth so that I can send some pics to my phone since i won't be bringing a laptop or anything? I would like to send a few to my phone so I can send them to people and show where I am. What do you other travellers do? I asked some people at the local tech places and they recommend GoPro's but I thought they were mainly for film. I'm not limited by a price range, I just want something good that won't let me down. I was originally looking at the olympus tg-4/5, so does anyone know if either of those are good? What does everybody else use when travelling, and any suggestions for what I should get would be great. Thanks :)
