• Is it illegal to use a pillow on the drivers seat while driving?

Best answer: Not at all. You can use a seat cushion in your truck. Just make sure it is sturdy. There is no law in Canada, that says you cannot use one. Also, there may be a button on the side bottom of the seat cushion, where you can adjust it to go up and down, and back and forth. Most cars and trucks have them. If... show more

Jaguar had a reputation for being buggy and the half laugh recommendation was to buy them after 100K because all the repairs would be done by then. The problem with an older car is that organic materials rot which not only means the interior but also the hoses, bushing, Wiring insulation and the encasing of your coils etc..., So if you are prepared for some nagging smaller replacement cost and cracks in the interior? I bought some of these upper end cars for fun but then the ceiling liner fell down, the seats cracked, dash board cracked, cars squeaked and front end parts had to be replaced... I did these all myself, so the cost was not as high as it could have been but I was happy to sell them within a few years of buying them.

Everybody was getting up to speed and when everyone was at 55 all of the sudden the huge car in front of me slams on their brakes for a red light. I can’t see past their car because my car is smaller. I had to push my brakes down as far as I could, and my car didn’t sound right. I just barley stoped in time. I am still shookin up from it. (I have never been in a car accident) so my first questions is Who’s fault would it have been? And my second question How do I make myself feel better about what happened?

We were about 100 feet away from the intersection and crosswalk and out of nowhere a young man on a skateboard dashed from in front of the car that was idling in the turning lane and across the lane we were driving in. Had we been about 50 feet closer, we would have hit him. It was obvious that he ignored that he was crossing illegally and had no concern whatsoever about oncoming traffic. Our question is this; Would we have been n the wrong had we accidentally hit him, or would that have been his fault for crossing on a red light that he ignored?

  • Do Bus lanes have to be designated as bus lanes with signage and/or markings?

He backs this up by “I have a CDL, so I know what I am talking about. You just have a class C license”. I argue that there are no arrows on the ground or signage saying that you can or must only make a right turn from the far right lane in discussion. I also argue that it is not a dedicated and designated bus only lane as there is no signage or markings designating as it only being for buses unless you turn right. I also argue that it is not a right turning lane because you can continue thru traffic into the parallel corresponding lane without having to merge to the let. Yet, he insist what I’m doing is illegal and only buses and right turners can drive in said lane. It may not be necessary to give this info, but this far right lane is off of Manchester and Western heading eastward on Manchester in Los Angeles, Ca. I basically want to know, by actual tangible fact, is can there be a “bus only” lane without signage or markings designating that it is a bus only lane? He argues that it is common sense and that all far right lanes are for buses or right turns only, regardless to whether that is stipulated by signage or markings or not. He says it’s “common sense” and “every driver knows”.

  • Whats the point of a passing lane if you are going to get a speed ticket anyway?

Did you have partial control over the vehicle, specifically the accelerator pedal? The cop? I doubt it...no cop would every say that. The short answer is you do not have to cover any portion of the speeding ticket.

Speed limits still apply to passing lanes. Had the driver passed the other vehicle and kept the speed to maybe 70 or 75 km/h, the cop may not have stopped him. The other issue was the other vehicle speeding up. The cop could have stopped both vehicles for racing at that point.

It also smells strongly of gas/diesel fuel when you are outside it, or inside it every time the car stops. I often have to cover my mouth when I'm in the car. I honestly didn't even consider the damage this could be doing to my body and lungs until the other day. I've refused to ride in it since then. I haven't been feeling well for the past couple of weeks but I don't know if its related or not. I don't really know anything about cars or the harm that could have done to me. Could anyone help me out? I'm very concerned. :(

Who is at fault? What would have been the safe way for that car to change lanes because I find it dangerous since everyone in the middle lane was driving at normal speed and they were all stopped on the left lane
