Ok so i have a male German Sheppard lab mix puppy who is about six months old. He’s very friendly but a bit rambunctious and loves to play with other dogs. I even take him to the dog park all the time. But last night one of my moms friends left the back door open and he ran outside. A neighbor happened to be walking by with her dog and of course he saw another dog so he ran up to them. I was chasing after him when i saw her spray him with something i assume either pepper spray or mace since he immediately started pawing at his face and rubbing it on the ground, he also wouldn’t open his eye. Now this wasn’t just some random neighbor, i see her quite frequently when me and my dog are running around the neighborhood. And she always has her dog, we usually run by and my dog ignores hers because he loves to run. One time we even crossed paths and they sniffed each other and then we each continued on our way. But not this time, this time she just peppersprayed him right in the face! I am beyond pissed and I’m not sure what to do. So i have a few questions, can i take legal action against her or not since he was technically off leash and everything. And will this cause him permanent damage? I’m really worried about him since he’s just a puppy.

When my hubby and I got married and moved in together he brought with him his 12 year old dog which he had had since she was a puppy. I'm not a fan of dogs but was ok with having her there since it was important to him. I took to the dog, I bought her food, took her for walks, loved her. We ran into an issue though because our home didn't have a doggie door and his old house did. Soon we realized that she was starting to pee on our carpets. I never got mad about it but my husband did and he actually blamed me for it. He said that since I won't allow the dog to sleep in our room at night she has free run of the house and can't let us know when she needs to go out because the door to our bedroom is closed. He said I'm selfish because I didn't want her sleeping in the room with me (due to her snoring) and I didn't want to get up in the middle of the night to let her out. It made me so mad because I didn't want the dog to start with and I felt I was compromising enough by even agreeing for her to live with us. I feel I deserve a decent night of sleep. So he gave her to his parents and she is thriving over there. She has a doggie door and is loved. However, last night my husband told me he wants her back because he misses her. I said absolutely not. I put forth so much effort into compromising and caring for that dog and got no recognition for it. Should I feel guilty for not wanting the dog back?? She is perfectly happy with his parents and he gets to see her whenever he wants.

  • Shall I allow my male dogs to hump together?

I have two male dog brothers currently uncut tho might change that. They constantly hump one another for dominance i think. They don't hurt each other so I'm wondering if this is a habit I really need to stop or not? they seem to have fun so unless harm is caused maybe it's OK?

He chewed up my breast pump and wakes her up with all his barking. our boyfriend doesnt trust him so he has him outside basicaly all day. when he inside he stays in kitchen to eat and drink then he goes into his kennel. i feel bad that he does this to him i hate to say it but i just feel like we need to get rid of him. he needs someone who has more time for him. i started to dislike the dog more since my baby arrived. my question is.. is it reasonable why i want this dog gone. i talked to my boyfriend on getting rid of the dog but he said if the dog hurts her or tries too then hes gone. he had this dog for almost 5 years. how can i convince my boyfriend to give it away to someone who has the time for him. because on his days off my boyfriend plays video games and friends. pleaae help!!

I am thinking of adopting a Pitbull puppy as an emotional support animal and I live in San Francisco. Pitbulls aren't illegal here but most landlords don't want them on their property. If I make my puppy my emotional support animal she can't kick me out (because it's illegal), but I believe she can raise the rent and force me to move out. But I'm not so sure. I have a registered disability, which is why I was thinking of an emotional support animal, but not a service animal because, I wouldn't have anything to teach it to do. I was also going to start training him as soon as possible so he could take the Canine Good Citizen test. Please help me get around this.

But I know some people are stupidly restrictive when it comes to where a cat can go. I own my cat, I am his caretaker, we have a pretty sweet deal, I give him food and medical attention and he gives me a friend. (I'm not social, I don't have many human friends, I have like one human friend, the rest are animals, I keep rescue chickens)

  • My dog won’t stop barking at night?

She used to bark a little bit when we first got her, but then she stopped. Now, we got her a new crate and since then she has barked/cried most nights. She’s is 15 months old. Are there any other reasons she could be barking? She is an Australian Shepard/border collie of that helps?
