NO ONE, including me, a retired auto adjuster can tell you what your claim or settlement is worth.
You will get all kind of crazy answers, like ask for (X) times your medical bills etc.
My guess is that the insurance will review all of your medical records which might include records (prior) to the accident to see if you had a pre-existing injury and this accident (aggravated it) or not.
It will depend on the damages of both vehicles in the accident, and how it happened. There are so many (ifs) that NO ONE can state, since we don’t have the details, nor your medical records.
Yes, having surgery of (any) kind that results from an accident is worth more, but, if I had to guess you have a lawyer, who will advise you (when) they make an offer to accept/reject or counter offer.
Also, it depends on what the (other) insurance coverage they have. So say for instance that due to this surgery it cost $25,000 and the other insurance only has $20,000 (max) then that is all you can get is $20,000 which (won’t) cover your medical bills, and they must be (repaid) back, thus you get nothing.
Put simply, if I was to say it is worth $100,000 and the insurance company offers you $35,000 and you state no (because) a stranger on the internet even though I am a retired auto adjuster who has (no) access to your medical records, nor the accident details. Think about it (I) nor anyone else can tell you what your injury/settlement is worth.
It is like saying, I am not guilty of a crime and strangers on the internet agree, but the judge will not take a stranger on the internet to make a decision to find you guilty or not, but what the judge has in front of him/her of the evidence they have in front of them. .
